Thar Institute of Nursing & Allied Health Sciences was established in 2019, recognized by Pakistan Nursing Council, Islamabad and Affiliated with Peoples University of Medical & Health Sciences-Nawabshah- Shaheed Benazir Abad and approved from Health Department, Government of Sindh. The Institute offers BS-Nursing (Generic) 04 years Degree Program to students coming from varied ethnic and socio-economic backgrounds of Sindh and Pakistan.
The Idea to establish this institute conceived because of burning health issues i.e. malnutrition, birth of underweight and stunted kids, anemic mother, high levels of mother and infant’s maternal mortality rate, premature birth, lack of awareness about family planning, poor health education and livelihood condition of our community, currently there is a grave shortage of Nurses in Pakistan. To respond to this situation, more and more highly educated and well trained nurses at the baccalaureate levels are required.
We believe, the progress of a country depends on the health of the citizens and education of Nurses contributes a lot to promote and maintain the health of the nation as a whole. The TINAHS take up the responsibility in promoting nursing education based on scientific principles, relating to theory and practice, in order to produce skilled, highly competent and qualified nurses, to face the challenges. We promote all round development of the students with special emphasis on intellectual, cultural and spiritual aspects and extracurricular activities to prepare them as effective change agents in the dynamic society.
